52 Lists / Fifteen

Joining in with Ema at Made In Hunters and her 52 Lists project.

This week: List the things that kick start your soul

Red sky sunrises or sunsets

Talking to cats in the street

Spending time with my growing godchildren

Being able to sing my favourite songs very loudly in our flat when there's no one around

The sight of the beautiful, rolling English countryside

The feeling of achieving something you've really worked hard for

Observing a child finally 'get' something you've been teaching them for a while

The thought of tea, cake and chatter with friends

Being awake and doing things early in the morning - feeling like you're getting an extra hour in the day

The sound of the sea

That feeling of newness and starting afresh at the start of each holiday, term, season, year, or when you buy a new notebook and all the pages are clean and not scrawled over
- it's the prospect that anything could happen

I've just started Easter Holidays so have two weeks and a day of relaxing, sorting myself out and getting myself ready for summer. If you are doing 'holidays' at the moment, I hope they're proving to be good even though were back to this typical April weather! x

    1. Thanks! I met a lovely cat last night. It's markings were like a cow and it seemed to just natter away to itself non-stop! x

  2. I love the sound of the sea, too! Two more of my "kick starts" are taking a beautiful hike or getting something all cleaned out and organized. I hope that you have a lovely, indulgent two week holiday!

    1. I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes a new notebook. I get so frustrated if I make a mistake or my handwriting gets messy! x

  4. I'd echo a few of those. Hope that song has disappeared!

  5. Well I'm with you with most of those Jo although the one about early morning doesn't quite appeal! When a child finally 'gets' what you are teaching them - fantastic feeling especially as the children I work with all have some form of special educational need - it makes you realise why you became a teacher in the first place! Enjoy this lovely sunny Sunday x Jane
