This week: Things on you to do list

Feel well again

A week late in getting this done but I have pretty much not been myself since Friday 7th when I arrived home from school feeling a bit odd and before I knew it I had full on flu.

It's been horrible. I don't want to describe what it has been like but for anyone who's suffered it, you'll certainly know the difference when people say they've had 'the flu' and are bouncing around as normal after a couple of days.

I've not had an appetite and now that I do feel like I might want to start doing things again, I walk from one room to the other and have to sit down as I have no energy.

You can imagine, 10 days in I'm a little bit fed up now. The only saving grace has been the Winter Olympics which is easy sick tv to dose in and out of.

So my current priority is to get well soon and manage to enjoy a little bit of this half term week not sitting on my bottom, sweating and drinking honey and lemon drinks!

Hope you had a good one last week despite the floods and enjoyed the flashes of sunshine at the weekend! x

  1. Oh dear, hope you feel better soon. I've had "proper" flu a couple of times and it really is horrible. Take care of yourself and don't try to do too much too soon. X

  2. Sorry to hear you caught the lurgy and hope you're firing on all cylinders soon. Take it easy and don't underestimate the restorative power of very good chocolate!

  3. A hard case of flu can be difficult to get over; I am so sorry to hear that you have had such a long lasting bout! I hope that your energy builds again so that you can keep up with all of the little people you teach, as well as enjoy your half-term break.

  4. I've had proper flu too - it really knocks you for six. Take it easy and give your body time to fully recover.

  6. Oh no, poor you! Hope you feel better soon. I always seem to get sick on holiday, in some ways it's handy as you don't miss work but it's so frustrating missing out on holiday time!
