Death By Planning

This is a photo of my weekend.

Diary, file, laptop, post-its.

I'm not a very happy bunny at the moment: tired, dry sore throat, in need of some sunshine and a change of scene.

I'm trying to decipher other teacher's medium term plans and it's like reading something in an alien language.

I'm also putting together applications to NQT (Newly Qualified Teacher) Recruitment Pools. Boring!

Half term is just around the corner but seems like a million miles away.

And I need a fresh cup of tea!

  1. I know the feeling! I'm not bogged down my planning (yet!) but teacher training interview prep - a presentation and a written piece to do for Wednesday.

As a fellow educator, I was just having a nosy at your planning sheet layout and I really like the look of it as it's very different to what we have where I work. I wonder if I could be really cheeky and ask you to email me one or two sheets, just so I can see how you are doing it? It looks very detailed, like it's one sheet per lesson as opposed to one sheet per week as I'm used to?

  2. Keep going - almost half term, you'll get there! xx

  3. At least you have stars on your file! :) I hope that you have a lovely, romantic Valentines day to cheer up your week!

  4. Hang in there! I hope your week is going well and you aren't too swamped. I come from a family of primary school teachers so I know exactly how much work is involved. At least it's half term next week, hopefully you can have a break from the planning.

  5. Hope you can see the light at the end of this particular tunnel and that there are plans of a different kind for half term.
